Important mouth skills
Evan has continued the saga of putting two words back to back. We're working on:
Baaa (sheep). Nana.
Boots. Water.
Hot. Dada.
Hot. Evan.
Hot. Grandma.
Cedar's big sister is sick today, so no playtime with Evan best bud. Oh well. Just teaching Evan important mouth coordination skills, cleaning the house, and appreciating the lack of a caffeine headache. I cut myself off Monday after last weekend was just a haze of two-mocha-a-day benders. I make the excuse that I have to drive a lot and need the comfort, but then I just feel terrible. So I'm cold turkey until the weekend.
When I have to drive a lot.

18 months
Yesterday Evan hit the big one-point-five and it was also another milestone event. He put two words together. The words?
Hot. Mama.
Then today he fell asleep in his stroller while we were out for our daily escape. This never happens. We walked to Wegmans and then I couldn't bear to go straight home, so I walked toward the Commons and he fell asleep about halfway down Green Street.
He woke up, we ate...I thought he was going to resist his nap because of the aforementioned stroller snoozing (stroozing) but when I walked him upstairs to change his highly absorbent disposable underpants featuring Elmo he put his head on my shoulder in that precious way. (Who's my cute little stroozerpants?)
He slept for almost three hours. Another milestone is that I felt so terrible that I slept for two of those hours, then laid on the couch all afternoon wishing my stomach would just give up the soup I had for lunch. I never, ever sleep during the day. Maybe once a year.
Anyway, I'm so cheap that I also never ever cancel lessons, and I ended up puking in an empty half hour between two lessons. After that I felt much better.

Smart Monkey Collage
Evan and I spent the time after shopping at the new Kohls at Smart Monkey Cafe. He was pretty restless and did a bunch of running around. Watching this I think to myself, do I ask too many questions?
