Working Girl

they called and offered me the job. Now those of you that know us know that this is a job I've actually HAD before...and did a pretty good job at. Why wouldn't I be a shoe in? Well apparently the competition was tough. They interviewed 6 candidates and gave me every reason to believe that they would only hire me if I was the best candidate. They were willing to risk the relationships they have with Russ and I to get the best teacher...luckily that was me.

I'm so thrilled and relieved, especially with Russ in a new, less lucrative position at Wells College. And even my concerns about leaving Evan seem to be unfounded so far. It was a great feeling today to wake up and really "need" to take a shower and get to "work". When I was back at school it was like a part of who I am, a part that had been sleeping for the last 16 months (ok, maybe not sleeping), woke up again. And when I got home I was so happy to see "my boys". I think I'm gonna' like being a working girl. : )
