I think that as a father, I am exceptionally good at knowing exactly what Evan needs even though he's pre-verbal and often unable to communicate with words.
Like today, when he stopped playing for the second time and just decided to lie on the floor, I put him down for a nap early. Feel free to call with questions for your own childrearing.
